Mirrelm started in either July of 2023 or January of 2025, depending on what you count as the beginning. Initially, it all started as an au for something else. Then a year and a half and 10k words worth of outline later, I took an advanced creative writing class and needed a story for my capstone project. I decided that I wanted to write that au, but didn't want to commit to writing fanfic for a college class. So instead of just replacing all the names, I completely ripped all of my story out of that setting and rebuilt it from the ground up. That story is now Shattering the Firmament!

From there, it all kind of spiraled. Obviously, since this came about for a writing class, I planned from the beginning to write STF, but it had initially been intended as a standalone story. But as I was worldbuilding, I kept finding that there was more and more that I wanted to explore that I just couldn't fit into STF. From there, the second and third stories started to develop as a vehicles to dig deeper into everything I can't in just one story.

As you've probably gathered by my brief about me in the sidebar, I'm Dandelion Jack! I'm an artist and writer, and general jack of all trades, with other hobbies including crocheting, sewing, embroidering, sculpting, carving, and nature photography. Aside from Mirrelm, my primary interest is fiction podcasts, with some of my favorites including Penumbra Podcast, Malevolent, and Kane and Feels!! I also collect pokemon cards and am going to college full time for archiving >:)
